I just realized that I have been ignoring my blog again. I guess I just didn't have anything important to say. Sorry.
In case you haven't heard, the Backyard Blast was awesome. Granted, it was like 120 degrees outside, and everyday I went home declaring that I could not possibly do another one, but now that it's over, I think it was one of the coolest events I've ever been a part of. I'm really proud of all the people that came out and made it so great.
Now that I have no major events for the next couple of months, I am taking some time to do all the tasks I have been putting off. This is one of them. I am also preaching a series in Kids Church about how our lives are like video games. I decided to go with a metaphor that I can get excited about. There are about a dozen games coming out between now and Christmas that I can't live without, so I've had games on the brain for a while. Last week we talked about how asking Jesus into our hearts is like getting a free life in a video game. No matter what you've done, a free life gives you a chance to start all over.
This has been a great summer so far, and I am really getting excited about the great things that God is going to do in the fall.
