what a weekend!

I usually like to start the week by sharing all the great things that happened at Horizons over the weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn't there. My family just returned from New York. We were there to surprise my Dad with a cruise for his 50th birthday.

It was a great because I love being at sea. I spent most of my time just staring at the waves. Sunday morning, we ate breakfast and watched whales come up out of the water while they were swimming alongside us.

Of course, the best part of it all was the family time. My Dad couldn't take long vacations with us when we were kids, so it is nice to be able to make up for it now. Plus, my parents are really young, so they're a lot of fun to hang out with.

All in all, I think it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. There's nothing like taking your Bible and a pot of coffee out on the balcony, looking out over endless waves, and just enjoying God and His creation.
