My brother is in Baghdad, blowing stuff up in the name of freedom. He recently told us that oatmeal raisin cookies could help him win the war. Mikki, patriot that she is, spent yesterday afternoon baking his freedom cookies.
We had two bags of cookies on the table, one of which was for my brother. They were clearly labeled as war-winning freedom cookies. Our dog ignored the regular unpatriotic cookies and destroyed our best hope for victory.
I'm sorry to all the brave men and women who must continue to fight because of Bill, the terrorist dog.
Besides this obvious setback to peace, this was a pretty great weekend. We've got a lot of cool stuff happening in our Kids Ministries, and the summer keeps looking more exciting the more we plan.
If you are able to be at Horizons this Sunday, you don't want to miss our Preschool's Father's Day performance. You can't help but smile when those 3-5 year-olds start singing.
